On Becoming Self Possessed

"No matter what comes, joy or shit or anything in between, you won't let it destroy you. That's what being self-possessed means" --Rachel Alexandria--

What does it mean to be a self-possessed woman? To me, it means having enough love for self to avoid unhealthy people, places, and things. It sounds easy enough until the heart becomes involved.  When the heart and head begin to be in conflict with each other, the earth begins to shake from beneath us. It's in those moments when we forge the strength of our character, the place where we walk through the fire to become more whole on the other side. This is a dark place of uncertainty where we all walk in faith knowing that somehow everything will be OK after all has been said and done starting with the first step, and starting from Day 1.

If you find yourself in such a place, my intention for you, is that you find grace somehow within yourself to do the right things that will bring peace to your aching hearts. Be still often enough to hear inner guidance calling. Don't be afraid.
